Is it possible to have a government that submits itself to the people? Is it possible to have a government that lowers taxes and removes unnecessary regulations that hinder the prosperity of the people? Is it possible to have a government that will diligently and passionately work to achieve the goals of the people? Absolutely and I intend to do just that! I will restore our principles of freedom, liberty, and service…
When elected I will listen to the constituents of our county and together we will set high goals for the betterment of our community. I will work diligently to achieve those very goals. I will ensure all age groups of our community are represented from our children who are our future to our seniors who carry infinite wisdom.
I promise that I will continuously strive for smaller government, fewer taxes, and less regulation. I will continue providing our community with the best of all basic services that we require. I will constantly seek the creation of job opportunities for the people of Hopkins County.
I will ensure that the voice of the people will always be heard loud and very clear. In my view the government is not above the people, but the people are above the government. Andrew Jackson once said, “Americans are not a perfect people, but we are called to a perfect mission.” Similarly, I am an imperfect person, but from my heart I feel called to help move our county toward a more perfect and prosperous time. I will never forget why I sought this special position. It is solely to serve a special group of people, the people of Hopkins County. Thank you for your support!

On April 19th, 2010, Christopher H. Toney along with his republican primary opponent and also the current democratic incumbent Magistrate of District 3 participated on WFMW's 0730 AM Western Kentucky Live Program. Chris believe's it is important for all voters to be informed of where each candidate stands on issues and how they plan to serve the people of Hopkins County. We realize many of you may not have been able to listen to the program which is why we are making it available for everyone to hear. We divided the recordings into two parts. One part was the discussion with the current democratic incumbent. The other part was the discussion with Christopher H. Toney and his republican primary opponent. We hope you enjoy and thank you for visiting our page
